UK’s largest animatronic dragon arrives at Mermaid Quay

A mighty red dragon has flown into Cardiff Bay and is making Mermaid Quay its lair until Sunday 7 November 2021.

Towering over Tacoma Square, the fearsome dragon is 15-metre-long and 6-metre-tall dragon. The largest animatronic dragon in the UK, it has arrived in time for half term and is free to view.

Featuring a moving head and tail, opening and closing eyes, life-like breathing movements, along with a terrifying roar, visitors to Mermaid Quay will be among the first in the world to see this ‘roarsome’ beast.
