The safety of visitors to Mermaid Quay and of the many people who work here is our number one priority.

Mermaid Quay’s on-site management, cleaning and security teams continue to work hard to reduce the risk of infection on site.

Following relaxation of the Covid-19 restrictions, many of Mermaid Quay’s restaurants, cafés, bars and other businesses are now starting to reopen – you can find more information about what’s open here.

You can find our COVID-19 Risk Assessment here.

The Mermaid Quay atrium and toilets are now open every day from 7am – 10pm, however we may have to delay opening, close early or close completely at short notice if we continue to experience high levels of vandalism and anti-social behaviour in this area. The number of cubicles and hand basins will, however, be reduced in order to facilitate social distancing. Hand sanitiser will be available. People are asked to limit the number of people in the toilet areas at any one time.

We are closely monitoring advice from Public Health Wales, Welsh Assembly, Cardiff Council and the UK Government.

Stay safe. Please remember to be kind and considerate to others. Please observe social distancing protocols. We will get through this together.
