Help us create a mural about what it’s like to live in Wales by taking part in our FREE “At Home in Wales” art workshops in Tacoma Square at Mermaid Quay on Saturday 25 May to Tuesday 28 May (12noon – 5pm each day).

What do you love about living in Wales?  What makes you proud of the place you call home? We’d love you to show us through your drawings, painting, collage, words and more.

The art you produce will be used to create murals to be displayed around Mermaid Quay and at the Mount Stuart Primary School.

The art workshops will be run by Cardiff-based artist Lisa-Marie Tann.

Whether you are young or old, have 5 minutes or want to stay for the afternoon, we want to to show us how you feel about being at home in Wales. Join us in the art marquee in Tacoma Square.

Lisa-Marie Tann lives and works in Grangetown, Cardiff. She studied ceramics and design at University of Wales in Cardiff’s Howard Gardens and has pursued a career in the arts, combining both teaching and making.

Her artwork focuses on the immediate surroundings. As a keen walker, encountered landscapes are used as a source of inspiration, with image, texture and colour being vital to the work.

Alongside her own art practice, Lisa-Marie is the art coordinator and teacher in a local SEN school. She also undertakes art projects and commissions for other schools and organisations. She is passionate about working with individuals and groups to access and further develop their creativity.

Lisa-Marie is a member of the Maker’s Guild in Wales and has work in a number of galleries in Wales and South West England. Lisa-Marie will also be holding workshops for pupils and parents at the Mount Stuart Primary School and this work will also be included in the murals.
