Join HusQuay the Merdog at Mermaid Quay for another paw-raising day of doggy fun from 10am-4pm on Saturday 18 November! You can meet Hope Rescue dogs looking for forever homes and take part in the teddy tombola and woof-tastic raffle. Then why not see how clever your own furry friend is and learn from the behaviour experts at Pro Pups Training who will demonstrate their amazing puppy powers!
HusQuay the Merdog is raising money for the children’s hospice Ty Hafan as part of the Snowdogs Tails in Wales art trail around Cardiff, and he loves helping out his canine playmates too. Hope Rescue is a Cardiff based charity which has been working hard since 2005 to improve the welfare of dogs in Wales. HusQuay has invited some very special furry friends from Hope Rescue who would love to be given a loving home. Could you be their forever family? Come down to Mermaid Quay to find out more about fostering and adoption from the Hope Rescue team.
Hope Rescue is currently in the running to benefit from a £25,000 Aviva Community Fund which it would use to provide its pups with a brand new sensory garden at the rescue centre. The sensory garden would include a secure dog-proof fenced area and will contain scented plants, water features, calming sounds, stimulating toys and agility equipment which will reduce stress and anxiety and also encourage the dogs to be more confident. Vote here to help Hope Rescue achieve this dream!
Lisa and Tamara from Pro Pups Training will show you how to raise your pups properly through a demonstration and educational talk. Both highly qualified animal behavourists and dog show competitors, these two experts will be on hand to answer all your questions about your pup’s personality. From basic obedience and recall training to man-trailing lessons, ProPups Training has a huge breadth of knowledge to educate both two- and four-legged friends!
