This show features original work of local Western Artists – Arnold Lowrey & Alistair Tucker, alongside Eastern Artists- Ping Gang Cheng & Yuet Yean Teo, The aim of the show is to promote not only the difference between East and West but also the differing sectors within these cultures, through the freedom of opening the mind of the viewer.
A cascade comprising several thousand handmade ceramic poppies, Poppies: Weeping Window was originally seen pouring from a high window to the ground below at the Tower of London as part of the installation Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red.
Mermaid Quay will soon have a paw-some canine addition: HusQuay the Merdog, a 1.5m tall hand-decorated statue of the Raymond Brigg’s inspired Snowdog. HusQuay forms part of the Snowdogs: Tails in Wales public art trail in aid of Tŷ Hafan, Wales’ leading children’s hospice. Keep your ears pricked for news and events about HusQuay the Merdog.
Men’s Health Survival of the Fittest is officially a decade old, making it the longest running obstacle racing series anywhere.
