Easter Fun at Mermaid Quay

We’ve got some eggstraordinary Easter fun lined up at Mermaid Quay starting on Good Friday (30 March) and running through to the end of the school holidays (15 April).

Saturday 31 March
From 12 noon : MARS LIVE
An amazing Bruno Mars tribute act, fronted by the incredibly talented Glenn Owen. He looks, sounds and moves just like the man himself. A highly entertaining, energetic show includes a full live band. The performance will feature a selection Mars’ greatest hits including “24k Magic”, “Locked Out Of Heaven”, “When I Was Your Man”, “Just The Way You Are” and, of course, the massive hit “Uptown Funk”.

Sunday 1 April
12 noon – 1.30pm : International Choral Festival Wales performances
Outstanding international choirs from as far away as the Ukraine and South Africa attending the International Choral Festival Wales in the Wales Millennium Centre will be popping by Mermaid Quay for to give a series of short a cappella performances.

From 1.30pm : Alice Mee Bishop
The wonderful Alice Mee-Bishop – still a teenager, but with an amazing voice, classically trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and now at the BRIT school in London.

Monday 2 April
From 1pm : The Jackson Flynn Thing : CANCELLED DUE TO POOR WEATHER
An acoustic duo with a raw, gritty style playing covers from the likes of Cash, Dylan, The Smiths, Oasis and Arctic Monkeys as well as original music!

Friday 6 & Sunday 15 April
Soho Sopranos
Husband and wife saxophonists Ray and Claire Westlake. The term ‘sopranos’ comes from the lyrical soprano saxophone, although both also play the tenor saxophone. Occasionally Ray will feature his vintage alto and Claire will solo on the flute. They play a wide mix of music jazz-centred but extends to rock, pop and classical music.
